7 Ways to Increase Your Focus:
Focus helps you achieve more.
Here are 7 tips to increase your focus.
1) Work on 1 task at a time
Multitasking is a myth.
Your brain is just switching quickly.
2) Clear your space
A cluttered space leads to a cluttered mind.
I like to only keep my computer, water, bottle, and lamp on my desk while working.
3) Silence notifications
We are constantly receiving notifications.
These small hits of dopamine are a huge distraction.
4) Reward yourself
Rewards can motivate you.
But make sure you don't end up completely relying on them.
5) Connect with your purpose
You are much more likely to complete a task that aligns with your purpose.
My purpose is to learn new things, help others, and have fun.
6) Prioritize 3-5 key tasks
A to-do list of 20 tasks is overwhelming.
I've found that 3-5 medium to large tasks is a good daily amount for me.
7) Use the pomodoro technique
Work for 15-90 minutes and take a 5 minute break.
Repeat this process 3-5 times and then take a 15 minute break.
This structure helps me stay productive while still taking needed breaks.
Focus TL; DR:
Work on 1 task at a time
Clear your space
Silence notifications
Reward yourself
Connect with your purpose
Prioritize 3-5 tasks
Use the pomodoro technique
