7 Ways to Be More Likable:
Your network = your net worth.
I used to be quite afraid of networking.
I worried others would find me to be annoying.
Being likable made it easier to network.
7 easy ways to be more likable:
1) Ask questions
People love to talk about themselves.
Asking questions allows them to do exactly that.
2) Give compliments
Compliments show that you care.
Talk about character traits, not superficial aspects.
3) Maintain eye contact
Eye contact conveys that you are paying attention.
People love to hold the attention of others and will thus like you more.
4) Put your phone away
Phones can be a huge distraction for you.
Focus on the person you are with to build a deeper connection.
5) Find common ground
People like those who resemble them.
Talk about shared interests or similar past experiences.
6) Minimize disagreement
Avoid controversial topics at all costs.
Even if you disagree, try to bite your tongue in the moment.
7) Follow up afterwards
Relationships take time to build.
Follow up every 3 months to maintain your connection.
Likability TL; DR:
Ask questions
Give compliments
Maintain eye contact
Put your phone away
Find common ground
Minimize disagreement
Follow up afterwards
